    Hi,

Am interested in finding a group I can join to take part in Carol singing in Galway city. Can anyone suggest a place that is genuinely welcoming to someone who's new to this, who could be really fun to sing with.

    Many thanks for any suggestions.

    The Augi choir maybe??

The Galway Baroques always do a concert in the cathedral with singalong bits for Joe Public every Mid-December. But I think you're looking for a little more than that.

    Galway Gospel Choir??? They're fun:)

Most of the more formal choirs either aren't looking for members (certainly not just for a few weeks), and/or won't actually be doing that many carols.

Carols aren't a big thing for lots of Catholic church choirs, either: most of the music they work on for this time of year is for Advent, not the few days of Christmas. Maybe some of the non-Catholic churches have choirs that are more likely to be doing carols.

... sorry, not a lot of good suggesions on this one :-(

How about the guys in 'the big sing' multicultural group? Think you can contact them via the Spirit Centre.
