    hey folks,

macbook was working fine on eircom netopia router for over a year. then 2 nights ago our 3pcs simultaneously lost their Internet connection.

the other two one mac, one windows connected after a reboot and work fine.

however my macbook has problems. it will connect to the network and display a full strength wireless connection. after browsing a few webpages it stops working and i get the following errors on browser safari:

You are not connected to the Internet

Safari can’t connect to the server

this is the troubleshooting I've done so far:

    1. restart mac
2 power cycle router, reset router
    3. exit all web apps., disconnect from network, delete network from sys. preferences, add network again name password etc.
    3. use different browser,ichat,itunes store
    4.use different user account
    5. use the network diagnostics utility , said it was a network problem
    6. connect via Ethernet cable, Internet works fine this way
    7. joined neighbors open network,Internet works fine.
    8. changed wireless channels
    9. don't this this is interference e.g cordless phone, power supply
    10. did not change any network settings on mac

all this lead me to believe that its some setting on the router thats causing the problem.

    help appreciated.
