Copper Insulation Remover

Hi all. I recently cut my hands to shreds getting the insulation off scrap copper. I came across a few devices on ebay for doing it, but they are very pricey. Does anyone know of a cost-efficient DIY device for getting the insulation off copper? Thanks.

what is the diameter of the cable?

how much have you got.

i have seen it being burned off . but from what i have heard you dont get the same price as if you had not burned it.

and the smoke is quite bad.
