Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Anyone else eagerly anticipating Split/Second? It's an action racing game that's based upon a reality TV show. The basic premise is that you drive around tracks like a lunatic and try and dodge whatever the environment throws at you, like falling buildings and explosions which you earn the right to set off by driving like the aforementioned lunatic! It sounds very similar to the film "Death Race" only without the chain guns and missiles to look forward to.

    It looks great (quite like Burnout: Paradise) and I think it could be a genuinely fun game to play as long as everything isn't completely scripted (i.e. a building doesn't fall down in the exact same manner every race). The multiplayer (up to 8 players) has the most potential but I think it will have to sell well for the potential to be realised!

    Myself and the lads from my website played it last week at the Eurogamer Expo in London and it was by far our shock of the show. Really intense graphics, driving model felt close to burnout and the few races we had were totally different in pace and destruction; often opening up entirely new peices of track. I just hope it doesn't wear thin after a few playthroughs. I'm very excited about it though, definately going to pick it up.
