Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Using ROS

    Hi,

I tried using ROS last year assuming that it would be a straightforward fill in the blanks add your credit card details and you're done. Turned out you have to request a RAN, recieve it by post, request a cert, receive it by post etc. Basically a load of crap that takes a couple of weeks to get through. Anyway, I ultimately had to file on paper as the deadline approached, afterwars though I did install the cert etc. thinking I would be all set up for this year. I tried yesterday and it wouldn't accept my password. So I have to send off for it BY POST again, great electronic system they have there :). So what I am wondering is does has anyone done this recently? How long is it likely to take for this password to arrive ? When it arrives will it then be a simple case of fill in the blanks and add my credit card details? Or have they added some other convenient steps to their modern electronic system possibly involving carrier pigeons to process the payment seeing as they seem to be so averse to electronic communications?

    Thanks.

I would hazard a guess that using post for so many steps is a security mechanism, but I'm sure that can open a whole raft of issues.

Generally they are fairly prompt at sending out the password. I only requested it once so far, and it was out within 3 working days I think. If you are filing a personal income tax return for 2008, then there's a lot of pages that need to be completed. Download their guide to filling out the return and have the draft sheet ready in advance. It shouldn't take longer than 20-30mins if you are taking your time.
