Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are they correct when they say here Is it not the same as previous Windows upgrades where you can format and insert the existing OS disk when prompted?

This version of Windows 7 ships as an upgrade edition. It is NOT possible or permitted to perform a clean install with this product. You must have an existing valid Windows operating system on your hard disk.

Is it not the same as previous Windows upgrades where you can format and insert the existing OS disk when prompted?

How easy it is to reinstall the upgrade version on a clean hard drive depends on what version of the upgrade media you are given.

Microsoft's position though is that buying the windows 7 upgrade version without having an existing windows license for a particular machine does not grant you a license to use windows 7.

I know the upgrade version from DigitalRiver can be performed on a clean HDD -- it's also €19 cheaper than your link.

yes the upgrade can only be run from an Activated version of windows, so you can't stick on the 30 day trial and get away with that. You can install to a clean partition though if you don't want to upgrade.
