Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nice thread. My missus agrees that I'm too skinny! I wouldn't mind but I eat for Ireland.

I can vouch for that, after the speed you put that breakfast in Avondale away

Pic 1, me in the blue top at the Adidas 5 mile in july; pic 2, in the pink top just about to finish marathon. It's a mini before and after as well, as there's about 12lbs diff between 1 & 2

Heard a loud "pop" from the back of my calf muscle and eat the dirt about 2k before this photo, but just managed to hobble in fast enough to hold off my challenger on the line, for a dead heat. This meant Boards came in 2nd team! Was that worth the four-month-long injury? Hell yeah!

A question, How do you embed a pic onto a post like previous samples from Bally8?

CaoimheX it took me ages to figure out how to do this. I have a few failed attempts in the Photos of where you run thread where I was trying to figure it out. What I do is put my photo's up on facebook and then just right click on it, press copy then paste it onto my message here on boards. Dont know any other way to do it:)

Im not annette Kealy or pauline culey:). Im the one with his name on the T-shirt. Not a vanity trip or anything, I was doing the marathon for concern and they sent me out a T-shirt that had my name on it. I wasnt gonna wear it because of the name thing but I didnt want to offend anybody in concern so I wore it in the end.
This was at about 22miles gone and those two ladies were having an almighty battle, it was great stuff.
From reading your race report you had your own almighty battle to get to that point. Great pic!

    Good News!
I made the cover of the Marathon supplement of Irish Runner this month (along with 5,000 others :o).
I am to the left of the purple balloon carriers and a little behind, wearing shades and a hat, and a blue top. Ray D'arcy is just over my left shoulder :).

Don't have that supplement in front of me, well impressed though that you managed to run a marathon with D'Arcy over your shoulder....he doesn't look heavy though so probably not as bad as it first sounds, kinda similar to running with Tubridy over you shoulder. You should enter the wife carrying competitions, you'd be great.

Thread revival for the next generation of ARTist

Makes alot more sense for us to have this as a forum we probably see more of each other than any other between attending the same races, training in the same places etc. that its kinda silly for us to have to rely on the few boards singlets/ t shirts in order to identify people so here goes. Also makes it easier for new posters to identify the Group runs at weekend when there are more than one group meeting at the Papal Cross car park

    Rules:

    No conversations
    No referencing previous posts
    No posts without pic

A year or two old pic here though havent changed too much (except for sans chin strap and few lbs lighter thanks to higher mileage :D)

Me taking 8th place in Rutland Marathon back in November:

    6327902867_c279480ecf.jpg

You'll not see me at that many races anymore, but I will be making guest appearances at Mallow 10 next month and in the Cork marathon relay in June. More likely to see me in the pub after the Cork relay however. :D

Can I post the "other" picture from Cork now? It's not had a showing in a while.
