Been out of work for a while, going on 3 months, as part of our sick policy anything over 13 weeks and you have to go see the company doctor or an "independant" as they put it, now I have been to my own gp every week since the beginning of this illness, have to get blood tests every 2 weeks as a result of the medication i'm on, have needed numerous x-rays and 3 trips to a specialist, now work want me to go to their own specialist, as if the one i'm going to is going to lie about my ailment and put me on medication that can have serious side effects if i was faking it? also they want a copy of my birth cert for their claim with the health insurance company, do i have to provide this? can i refuse to go to their doctor? a girl i know was out for a similar lenght of time last year and she said the company doc was pretty mich trying to tell her there was nothing wrong with her when she almost died one weekend
