Ha! Fatness beckons lad, six packs are for pussies; sagging gut held in with a lifting belt for the win!

Total fail of a workout today. I dunoo if I was tired or just couldn't be bothered or what but..

    Hang Snatch (40kgs)
    5reps x 5sets

    500m Row x 1 .. seriously?!

I messed about on the rings for a bit. Some L-sits, static holds, front lever pulls, pull-ups etc.. nothing worth logging.

I'll punish myself tomorrow with the prowler for my sins. :D

    I have no real opinion.
Just making a point, some strong people will tell you that belts are essential even to a novice.

Fair enough, but I think it makes much more sense to work on your own raw strength and stability rather than rely on extras like belts, unless of course your a competitive lifter and going for serious maxes. I'd be alot more impressed with a 180 DL Raw than a 200 belted. But maybe that's just me!

load of crap here to be honest. a belt isnt really about getting extra weight out of your lifts, its more to do with safety. while lifting with a belt my beltless squat and deadlift went up by around 35 kg. Henners who posts here doesnt get anything out of a belt.
oh, and i pull 180 beltless and 210 ish with a belt :)

I train 5 days, Monday to Friday and rest the weekend.
It's not the training that has me run down, I figure it's my lack of calories & carbs.

While passing the local take away yesterday I had the uncontrollable urge for rice. I ended up coming out with a large tray of boild rice, and it was amazing!! :D

I'm seriously thinking about running stronglifts for 6 to 8 weeks. But with my numbers the way they are I don't think I could handle increasing the weight on the squat every workout. Maybe the advanced program might be worth looking at.

    Anyone?

I see you did 80Kg for 5x5 recently but what's your max squat at? There's plenty of people doing stronglifts with relatively big numbers. If you're going to do it don't start off too high though.
