Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was just wondering if anybody had any easy ways of speeding up my internet connection. I am currently with BT broadband and am using a wireless connection to the xbox. It seems to be quite slow when playing online.

    Any help would be appreciated!!

there's your first problem those xbox wireless things are shhite. used to play halo with my mate who was usin one and he was laggy as hell i refused to play with him till he used a lan connection. also if you have crap internet in the first place unless you feel like hackin your moden then you just gotta pay more or make sure no one else in the house is on when you are

No, just because you may be on a bad ISP or bad package, doesn't mean that all of them are bad. 20MB UPC is great. 1MB Eircom isn't.

Going back to the OP, if you go to speedtest.magnet.ie and run the test there. Post your download, upload and ping speeds back here then.

Ideally your ping would be less than 100ms for gaming, download speed of great than 1mb, at least.

we aren't at a 100mb like some places but to be honest do you need more than a 20mb connection for gamin, maby if you like downloading stuff at the same time

Not really. PC gaming maybe, but not for consoles. I've only got a 3mb connection, and it works great, even with a really crap upload speed.
Figured I'd post my speedtest aswell
