Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    :) Hi

Hope it's ok to post this here.

Just wondering if anyone has used this cream before.

I think it needs to be prescribed by a Dr, mine was anyway.

I'm starting it tonight but what is people's experience with it.

I have really bad pores, deep in the skin, too deep to be squeezed out I was told by a facialist :-)

Anyone know will it help or in the long run?

    Thanks

Remember here folk that we DO NOT offer any medical advice here. If you have personal experience with this produce and have any useful information for the OP then post it but no speculation or second guessing on any perscribed creams.
If the OP needs any medical advice then the OP will see their own GP.

    Thanks!

I have been to my GP and it has been prescribed.

I just want to know if people have their own exprience, I know everyones is different but I'd like some sort of idea.

I have been using it for the past year and I find it great (for wrinkles and open pores). I started off with the lowest strength (0.025%) and am now on 0.05%. I started using it every second night. I wash my face first, leave it for around 20 mins to let it dry thoroughly and then apply the Retin A. Only apply it once, at night before I go to bed. You HAVE to use SPF factor as skin is ultra sensitive after it. I now use it every night on my face before I go to bed. I find it brilliant and my wrinkles have decreased so much.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks a million.

I have read so many reviews online of peoples skin getting worse and flaking etc etc

    Nightmare I thought.

I think I have really deep trapped pores. I went for a facial and the lady doing it advised me to see a Dermatologist. She said it would be impossible to "squeeze" them

    Hope this works!

Mine did get very flaky at first so I stopped using it every night, start every second night and moisturise well the next morning after you wash it off. Then when your skin gets used to it, you can use it every night. Are you on the lowest % 0.025% because your skin needs to build up a tolerance before you can work your way up to a higher strength. Took me a few months before I could use the 0.05%.

    Good luck.

I have been put on the 0.05% straight off.

What size do you get - I have a 20g tube - how long should that last? I mainly put it on sparingly on my forehead / T zone area. It seems it won't last a couple of weeks

I have been told to use it morning and at night.

I would follow your GP's instructions then, they know best. However, if you do experience flaking I would reduce it to once a day, at night. I couldn't use it twice a day, because in the morning I need to use moisturiser and I use SPF 50 on my face. Even though I have been using the 0.05% for a few months now, I do get flakey skin on my forehead a TINY TINY bit every so often. Could be the cold weather as well though.

You can get more info on Retin A on LYB which is how I found out about it
