We usually go to a panto every year after Christmas, and in recent years we have always gone to the Cheerios one which until last year was always fab. Last year however they moved it from Liberty Hall to the tivoli which was a pretty crap location. It was freezing cold, musty smelling and very limited faciilitywise. Needless to say we didn't enjoy it that much, even though the performances were as good as ever. Someone has told me the Tivoli has bee refurbished since then-can anyone confirm, also in the absence of that what is the Gaiety one like?

Christmas Panto Aladdin was here in Ballinasloe last night at the Town Hall Theatre, so much wonderful atmosphere and fun that you wouldn't feel the cold even if the building was made of ice. A wonderful night for both adults and kids alike.. Would highly recommend it... Think it's only running till weekend though

We've been to the Gaiety this year for Jack and the Beanstalk - was very enjoyable -kids loved it and the facilities and location were were very good too. Thought the tickets were a bit pricey at 34 euro each, especially with 4 kids, but they were good seats and if we'd booked earlier there were cheaper ones I suppose.
