Message to the MODS

do you people have anything resembling a life ?

jesus H christ - I have never in 15 yrs of internet usage encountered such a 'power'-hungry shower of no-lifers.

My dental thread got moved, and then the mod of the dental board starts having a go at me as if I started the thread there.

Most of the regulars use words like 'knackers' all the time (i lurk the galway board from time-to-time seeing as I moved away recently), I used the word 'tinker' in the social benefits board and got an infraction without so much as a PM informing me that egregious terms like 'knacker' are tolerated in most forums because of different charters...

then, days later some muppet called 'big_g' gives me another infraction for apparently 'attacking' or 'insulting' xiney on the dental thread, days previously...

The jist of my post, seeing as you seem to have missed it, is that I felt he was creating more work than he was asked to do - and dragging it out over 3 appointments and aiming for 4, or more. Literally 1 appointment is all that was required.

I put off having the baby tooth removed for so long simply because [a] it wasn't in pain and the last time a similar baby tooth was removed it was broken out. Quite unpleasant. At any rate, my mouth was in perfect working order and without pain until I went in for a simple removal. Now, after 3 appointments when only 1 was required, teeth he worked on are in pain. There were no cavities on these teeth. He simply stated he felt they needed 'recoating' ...and proceeded to drill the enamel off, and apply some synthetic ****e onto the surface instead. Now they're in pain. The fourth appointment was to recoat other teeth, not to finish the ones he had already tampered with.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply, but you might as well not bother if your going to be so glib and dismissive.


PS: I see you're a mod in the 'personal issues' and 'state benefits' forums. Makes sense.

I understand OP but don't waste your energy getting angry over it because things never change and arguing with the mods is like banging your head against a brick wall. Trust me I've done it lot's of times!

Reason your thread was moved to Dental was that boards.ie has many forums and they may be better suited for the specialist discussion you brought up.
Just because someone is based in Galway doesn't exclude a forum that deal with the heart of the issue, in this case your teeth.
As to why the mod over there did what he did I cannot answer.

I've asked the Category moderator Dub13 to check this thread.

YesNoMaybe,you have no cause to complain here on the Galway forum the proper procedure was followed by the mod and your thread was moved to a more appropriate forum.We cant have every tom dick or harry giving out medical advice.

On onto the issue of you coming here and abusing the mod,I have banned you for 2 weeks for this.It would have been longer but you are new to boards and I will give you the benefit that you did not know how things work.

When your ban is up I suggest you reevaluate the way you post on Boards.
