Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That Madrid team is very strong and I would expect them to get through. Could make for an entertaining match given the circumstances.

odds of evens for madrid to go through to the next round

This game is an 80,000 sellout believe it or not. That is unheard of for a Copa del Rey game against a 3rd division side.

Xavi, Pique, Messi and Valdes on the bench. Barca are missing Abidal and Henry for obvious reasons.

I think you fail to understand the concept of Galactico's. It's all going according to plan, history repeating itself. Ronaldo coming back will be huge for Madrid, there is no coherence between attack and defence, and Ronaldo is somebody they can lump the ball to and he'll make something happen.

Toure will stay at Barca this season, he'll start most games from now until xmas too. Sher a few months ago he said he sees himself staying for his career ffs.

Robinho would be an alright temporary fix, but I wouldn't want to see another diving Brazilian premadonna in our ranks permanently (Alves has that role sewn up). We are one of the richest clubs in the world, and have never had owners of the club, I don't see why now is the time to be worrying about debts. Laporta with Ronaldinho took us out of the doldrums of debt quite sucessfully.

Barca's crisis is silly, they just aren't playing as perfectly as they did last season, but I don't think anyone could have accepted them to do so. It's squeaky bum time for the next few matches though, Inter/ Madrid/ Kiev coming up in the next few weeks, time for Guardiola/ Barca to prove he isn't a one season wonder.

Messi has been quite bad this season, which is good considering the team has still functioned effectively without him (mainly due to Zlatan and Pedro), meaning when he (and Xavi/ Iniesta) hits top form the team should start dispatching opposition similarly to last season. Alves has been woeful too, he needs to relax a bit, the cosmetic surgery on his ears has messed up his mojo, I think he might have had it stolen by Johnson at Liverpool.

    Finally, I love Ibrahimovic.

Isn't he just amazing. Saw that assist he gave during the weekend I think, the backheel through a three players and I just thought of myself even if he is a youtube player he's the most consistent one there's ever been. If we don't win the CL this year hope Barca give Ibra the one he deserves to shut everyone up

The thing that's impressed me the most is he has a good ego, I thought his ego would be one that would cause him to sulk and give out to players for not giving him the perfect pass. But he has an ego like Ronaldo, one that makes him hungrier to progress and get better.

He has been Barca's most consistent performer, the team can adopt any possible tactics and Ibra can slip into the system perfectly. Attributes wise he's probably the most complete striker in world football, I hope at Barca he has the platform to prove his doubters wrong in the CL KO rounds. (If Barca make it that is...)

Oh, and lol @ Madrid. :) They can't use the excuse that they didn't take it seriously, because they fielded two teams absolutely littered with internationals. After Barca's treble Madrid were desperate to try and emulate that success. They need Ronaldo back asap (he's doubtful for the classico which is amazing news for cules).

What did you think when he lashed out at Henry and sulked because he stole his goal:D
