Mad stuff happening a bit down the road from the entrance of Pat's college in Drumcompton. There was literally 30-40 guards all standing around a car which had been pulled over. Was there an attempted robbery?
I know there was a match but this didn't seem to be anything to do with it

A group of men were last seen heading towards Santry after a robbery in Tolka Park.

I saw a police car speed by my bus at Drumcondra Train station going that way alright, about 5-6pm, that sound right? Can't help with the reason though.

Did they rob the gate money or something? Bit ridiculous considering the Garda presence at the match..

    I'm talking roughly 10pm electrogrimey

I think it was a reference to Sporting Fingal "stealing" the game from Shels ;)

Anyway ye was for the Shels -v- Fingal match, had Richmond Road closed off and the Guards were probabl escorting the Fingal fans to St.Pats to get the bus back up to Santry. OTT garda presence as usual, not as bad as when we playe up in the Morton a few weeks back but shockingly overboard.

    Oh right. Haha.

I dunno it seemed like something highly illegal was after happening, and they weren't escorting anyone. Oh well it doesn't really matter anyway..

There was nearly 1500 Shels fans there and I'd say about 150 Fingal. 10 on 1.;)

No such a thing as too many cops at the matches. I used to work in Tolka Park and witnessed some mad sh1t there a few years ago.
better to have em and not need em, than need em and not haven em. :)

I think it was a crash tbh. I passed on way back from drogheda and at that stage they had the bus lane closed and loads of fire trucks and ambulances
