Hi everybody, we are looking for your well founded advice in regard to buying a weather station which will output a csv file with the current weather at timed intervals. We plan to place the weather station at a radio mast at Mount Oriel, Co.Louth hence it needs to be well constructed.
The csv file is required as it will be interfaced to our amateur radio transmission network as it will play back the current weather conditions via dtmf commands sent via radio. We are currently using information from wunderground.com but wish to have more local weather.

For more information on our project you can visit http://www.ei7dar.com

    Thanks Dundalk Amateur Radio Society

Most weather stations will have a streaming data output that is connected to a PC (serial or USB) the PC can generate .csv files for uploading elsewhere.

I use Virtual weather station with an Oregon Scientific weather station (seen better days tbh - suggest you look for something more robust) The software works fine and produces .csv data.
