UCC or CIT for Music?

Don't want to start a slaging match between Colleges but my eldest is looking to study Music. At the minute we looking at the differances between the BA and the BMus courses, and both Colleges in Cork. Anybody have some general advice? Our budding rockstar just wants Music...
