lens price for canon 350d?

Hi Guys,
friend of mine has droped a lens off of her 350d and its focus is stuck. Im wondering how much she would be able to pick up a 2nd hand lens for instead of trying to get it repaired? she'd wouldnt mind getting a standard 35mm ?
she holidaying here untill two weeks time and desperately needs to get a lens to get snapping during her visit... and is based in dublin.

I'm sure if you look in camera exchange or gunnes they might have one second hand, but it certainly won't set you back more than that.

If you just want a basic lens to get back on track, you can get a 50mm f1.8 for about 80 quid in any of the camera shops in town, it's a decent bit of kit at a bargain price.
