Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jobs with a bias for technical aptitude (not programming or server admin)

Thinking about my current career path and wondering something.

Im currently a Marketing Product Manager in a "large US computer manufactuer", recently hired. They really liked my interview and put me in this "product" role as I expressed my forte was product development mixed with business sales/marketing skills.

The role itself would appear to be very (exclusively almost) admin and sales heavy (though with no sales incentives or commissions oddly) and no actual product involvement. Previously I was in marketing and heavily involved in the development of MP3 players and other emerging technology. This just doesnt happen in this company, they import "product X" and sell it. Thats it.

Im at a loss however to find a name for the type of job Im looking for, something that would require strong technical skills and more importantly aptitude that may benefit from project management, business and presentation skills. I really dont want to move (more so) in the direction where my roles means I may as well be selling bread and butter instead of technology. :(
