Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Xbox Live - Getting set up?

Looking to get set up on xbox live in the next while and just wondering: We have a wireless internet connection in our house, so is it just a case of picking up an xbox live kit and plugging it into the xbox to pick it up? I have seen a few around that come with an annual or monthly membership so would it literally just be buying the whole thing and I would be ready to go?

Also does anyone know good places to get annual membership deals?

Sorry if its an obvious question, don’t know anyone else that plays online…

You'll need to get a wireless adaptor, and a live subscription if you want to play multiplayer.. You can pick up a new wireless adaptor in Gamestop for €50 (theres a newer version coming out soon, which will probably cost about €90) and you can get 13 months subscription for a site like live-codes.com for between €30-€35. You also get a month free on Live when you first set up the account.

Well the XBox doesn't have a wireless card built in, so if you're too far away from your router to plug it in you will need to get an XBox wireless card. They cost about €60.

Then you can either buy a subscription in a shop or use your credit card when you are signing up on the XBox.

What can you do besides multiplayer? One of the things I will be looking for is to download songs for Rock Band anyway..

You buy these through XBox live. You may not need a gold membership to buy rockband songs but you will need the gold to play online.

You can also rent movies, download free game demos and chat with your friends on Xbox or MSN. Oh and now there's sky player, and soon facebook and twitter.
