    hi,
i view some drawings in pdf, but a friend showed me a package he downloaded called trueblue, which allowed layers and measurements to be frozen, taken etc. ive searched the net and found it - at a price! but he said he downloaded it for free?
does anyone here have a link for this? or any similar software?
    thanks,
    AA

This will be of no help to you but did a bit of research today on the same topic and found out that AutoCAD 2009 has an add on that will create PDFs with the capability of turning on and off layers - same as what you have described.

Just need the company to get 2009 now!
