Where can you pick them up now that the Army-Navy Store is out of business?

Dunnes/Penneys for cheap ones, pretty sure I saw them in Dunnes over Halloween. Otherwise I'm sure Millets/Great Outdoors will charge you an arm and a leg for them...or one of the fishing tackle shops too...

I got some from a stall on the St Nicholas market last winter. Pretty sure I've seen the same folks there since, too.

I saw a pair in topman last monday, think they were 15 yoyo's though.

Personally I got a pair of weight lifting gloves from great outdoors a couple years ago and they do the finest.

I can vouch for the market too, they've got some nice ones.

Lidl has fingerless gloves disguised as cycling gloves and they seem okay. All thermal and stuff.

I'm knitting a pair, hopefully can manage the thumb bit...
