Quick question about PCIE power?

I'm in the middle of installing a GTX280 and there is 6pin and 8pin power sockets. Should I fill every socket, my PSU has two 6+2pin PCIE power cables so its not problem?

Absolutely. You'll have to. Use the first 2+6 in one and the second 6 in the other, leaving out the 2-pin add-on.
