Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

buffer tank & multiple heat sources

I am working on my plumbing and heating requirement my new build and I’d like to hear from anyone who has multiple heat sources working well together with a large buffer tank.

    I’m thinking of fitting:

    In house:
    bb solid fuel stove

    Outhouse:
    oil fired burner
    large mulifuel boiler.

    All on a vented system.
    Layout is a bit tricky
Distance between in-house BB and outhouse is around 7 metres.
I’m thinking of placing the buffer tank in outhouse also.
Outhouse to house nearest point 2.5 metres.

Will this be a headache to get all these working together ( I know they will rarely be all heating a once), I like the flexibility of swapping sources when it suits.
The rising pipe from both solid fuel units is my concern, routing it.
I do have scope to place a DHW cylinder upstairs directly above the in house stove, but not the large buffer tank.
