    Is it normal for dog to lay like this;

    Not worried or anything, but i've had a good few dogs and none of them would ever lay like the above for any length of time. Maybe its a common trait of the miniature schnauzer?

    Very cute photo!
    one of my dogs sleeps like this and also lying down with her head propped up against the wall which looks really uncomfortable. The other sleeps on her back with her legs sticking straight up in the air so i wouldn't worry about it!

    My 12yr old German Shepherd and baby rottie lay like that sometimes, usually when they haven't had enough excercise, Lol. I think its their way of stretching their legs without actually going for a run. When Molly (12yr old) does it I grab the leash n take her out, when we come back she curls up in a ball to sleep, :) Try it next time your lad stretches out and see what happens :D Brilliant photo, he's gorgeous.

    Perfectly normal, my two do that.
    Lily sleeps curled in a ball or flat out, or on her side, or on her back. Daisy does the same, but even when she's just playing or lying on the floor, it's like that, legs straight out (if sleeping) or at right angles so she makes a T shape with her back paws.

    One of my huskies, Diesel sleeps like that a lot, I call it his Superman pose, and expect to take off at any minute.

    Yeah my dog stretches like that sometimes.

    I also once had a greyhound who would sit down. Out of the hundreds I've seen he was the only one I ever knew to sit.
