Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

VHI Tax relief

I'm an IT contractor at the moment and currently I have health care with VHI. This is something I'm paying myself each month by direct debit from my bank account. It's not paid for or subsidised or anything by my employer or agency.

Is it true that I can claim some sort of tax relief or refund on my VHI payments?

It is already likely that you are getting Tax Relief at Source on your VHI payments. Simply ring up VHI with your policy number and they should be able to tell you.

If you pay VHI yourself, as an individual, you get tax relief at source.

If your employer is paying it for you, no relief granted at source, and you should make sure you claim the tax relief.
