Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey,
I've just recently started to learn the passive voice (again :() & I just have a question about when it's used in the present tense.

Is there any way to differentiate between "is" & "is being"
I have a book (schaum's...) that shows some examples...

Der Junge wird von den Eltern gefragt - the boy is asked by his parents
Dem Verwundeten wird vom Arzt geholfen - the wounded man is being helped by the doctor

but, in another example, it gives the impression that either is acceptable...

Die Tür wird geschlossen - the door is (being) closed

I guess this is just one of those lots in translation things:pac:, but I'd still appreciate any info:)
    Thanks!
