Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lot of hate in this thread. I'm frankly surprised that there isn't more stuff like this emanating from professional footballers. Carlos Tevez has already made more than enough from the game to secure the futures of himself and his family (unless he is an absolute idiot with money). Therefore, a key element of what drives young men - the desire to be financially successful - is no longer there for him. Think about how many people you know in their mid twenties who are at a crossroads in their lives / looking for a career change / looking for a change of scene. Why should footballers be so immune from thinking about things in such terms?

Most likely, someone will have a word with him and he'll continue - maybe with a retracting statement for good measure. There is probably a ton of footballers at the highest levels of the game phoning it in each week to a certain extent. I think it's nice when one of them actually comes out and says it tbh.

The EPL isn't my favourite league, so whisht.
He only beecame a regular in the Boca team in 02/03. Not exactly 10 years ago is it?

Well, he played for boca in 2001, I remember seeing him play then and reading articles about him being "the new maradona" back then. Either way, 2001 till now is almost 10 years which is what I said so apology accepted!:D

I think people get rather annoyed in this instance when the footballer in question is a guy who seems to do nothing but whinge and moan everytime he opens his mouth.

Also LOL at him moaning about having played too much football when he spent most of last season crying about his lack of gametime at United.

And for all those praising his "honesty," what about the committment he made to City in the Summer to play for them for what, 5 years? Wheres the honesty in that?

Or did this depression only kick in when he joined City?;)

Oh yeah, I forgot that football doesn't exist outside the EPL:D

He's only been playing regularly for 5 years. Get over it.
