Forget the Recession - Enjoy Christmas!

So glad to see this thread - love the Christmas season, and always have...something to do with the magic of it as a kid I think When the decorations go up in shopping centres and that, and people put up lights outseide their homes it really makes the place nicer! I'm always trying to get the decorations and the tree up in the house as early as possible. It's lucky I suppose in that my family don't spend ridiculous amounts on presents, it means there's no pressure to buy loads or spend loads, so you can stay at what you afford. I love seeing all the family again too - and meeting up with friends I mightn't have seen in ages for dinner in town...people seem to put in the effort more in December to meet up and celebrate being around people that they like - no matter what the naysayers say, and how clichéd it sounds, it is a season of goodwill
