Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well, with England without much of their first choice 11, I can see them getting slaughtered!!

I see Gary Cahill is on the bench for England today for the first time. They must have been getting concerned about reports linking him with joining up with Ireland :(

    Ben Foster in goal!

    Capello must be punishing him.

    Calamities guaranteed :D

BBC giving the line-ups as follows.

As a 'Pool fan happy that Lucas is on the bench.
Also I thought Aurelio had pulled out of the Brazil squad Thursday/Friday???

The English team really looks like almost a B team selection with so many players missing.
    1654: Brazil v England line-ups:
Brazil: Julio Cesar, Maicon, Lucio, Thiago Silva, Michel Bastos, Felipe Melo, Silva, Elano, Kaka, Nilmar, Luis Fabiano.
Subs: Doni, Dani Alves, Luisao, Juan, Aurelio, Josue, Lucas, Alex, Julio Baptista, Robinho, Carlos Eduardo, Hulk.

England: Foster, Brown, Upson, Lescott, Bridge, Wright-Phillips, Barry, Jenas, Milner, Rooney, Bent.
Subs: Green, Cahill, Warnock, Huddlestone, Crouch, Defoe, Young, Hart.

With Lucio and Foster playing, you'd have to fancy a goal or two.

Obviously the ITV lads read Boards cos they confirmed Aurelio pulled out of the squad

    ITV 1-0 BBC

Anyone getting weird TV pics on ITV?

Cheers for the replies - was afraid my TV was going into meltdown.

Looked more like transmission problems than anything.

Started lively - no set pattern yet though

Nearly a major oops from Upson there.

    Got away with it.

Nilmar may have been better off shooting

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

    Foster being his usual self.

I'm guessing 2-0 for Brazil. Anyone know if the teams are getting a few quid for playing out there?

Can see there being goals in this alright.

Both the FAs will be getting a fair bit of cash I'd imagine - not sure now this filters through to the players.

    LOL @ Nilmar.

Geez Wes Brown may as well have a shirt on saying "I really don't want to go to South Africa" Having an utter shocker.

    Bent very anonymous so far.

Rooney looking lively when he gets the ball but very isolated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Other than Rooney, I don't think I'd want any of these players with me in South Africa.

Man, you've got to feel sorry for Aurelio, any time he's been called up he's got injured.

Great finish by Nilmar for 1-0 from a lovely ball through by Elano but Wes Brown very poor again.

Should have been a red for Foster.

England lucky its not 2-0 and 10 men

James Milner is an incredibly limited winger.
