How high do bunks need to be.

    Hi. I am about to make up bunks in my conversion. But they seem like they do not have enough space between.

    Does anyone have bunks fitted that are fine in use for adult sized kids??

    How much height do they have. I am making them 2m x800mm so they will be generous for lying down but am concerned about the sitting up space.

    Hi Pandos

    I have bunks in my van.......its a dethleff and I can guarentee you that no standard sized adult (if thats an OK phrase to use) can sit up in them. I had a CI before with bunks.....same story

    Thanks for the reply, I probably phrased my op badly.

    I know that it is almost impossible to get enough height to sit up, but what space is between the bunks in general in manufactured campers.

    It looks like I will have about 27 inches. Once this is on the high side of average then I am happy.
