Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Don't touch the Camry if it's not taxed. The Carina sounds good, have a look at the Mk 1 Mondeo, Laguna, Primera, etc. too. If it has more than three months tax and NCT left, you're sorted. :)

    Carina E.
Its only temporary right? So if the period does not exceed 30 or 40 years, you should be alright. Great cars, the Carina.

The Carina is the sensible option, but if you have some time with the Camry sense will go out the window. It is a thirsty beast and your tax system probably does not favour it, but what a car. Probably full European spec if it has leather. From memory a manual gearbox was about the only available extra on the 3l.

Forget about the Camry as you will see none of that €800 back in a few months time as nobody will want it. Go with the Carina as it sounds the less risky more sensible option. You will probably get alot of your money back on it in 2 or 3 months when you go to sell it.

You never know even Volvoboy here might buy it off you as he has a soft spot for Carinas. :)
