Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Exam at 9am and I'm cramming my ass off.
Someone kindly put me out of misery and kill me.
I've resorted to listening to Amy Studt - Misfit.
    Uber fag!
VOM!!! Collective Bargaining is kicking my ass.

Emulation ftw! Only thing is I have a mac so I can't get vbalink to work, just normal vba, so no trading for me, and no Golem, Alakazam, Gengar and no Machamp :(

Had another one of my strange "talking owl" dreams last night. As usual, it managed to get in my bedroom window and we had a chat.

At least it wasn't 15 tiny black owls like last time, that was odd.

I had a dream that I was going to sit an exam but they didn't have a desk for me. Also the exam hall was my dead granny's abandoned house.

Deleted my own post to avoid double-posting, in this precinct (love those tricky spellings!) we do things by the book.

I'm spending the night listening to Bob Dylan, drawing and reading The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins, it's the only way to go when you spent the afternoon sleeping.

Aw, that post was awesome! :( I was saving my pun-tastic replies for a suitably late hour.

What Dylan stuff are you playing?

Sorry, I couldn't risk it, Kateos would've busted me down to sergeant so fast...

I usually just take a fly through Blonde on Blonde, get stuck on Temporary Like Achilles, play that eight times over, stop again at 4th Time Around and repeat. Then some choice cuts of BIABH (She Belongs To Me), Highway 61 (Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues), and then straight into Blood on The Tracks. Lovely.

My life has lost all meaning and purpose this week...usually I'd feel a bit disgusted at myself that I'm awake so late and therefore will rise at a ridiculous time. But really, what is even the point? What am I missing? Less TV at a sane hour...pfft there's more ads then anyway, who needs it?

I think I'm losing my grip on sanity. Also, just realised that this odd week can be counted as part of my summer. Summer holidays are always a bit long and hard to fill anyway, kinda like a newspaper based in the West of Ireland, there's some filler days where you just sit around and gaze thoughtfully at mundane objects, just like columns about a local child who came 2nd place in a national handwriting competition...but now I have this whole week at the start where I'm not allowed leave the house to dampen the mood of summer. Where's the buzz of hearing the last bell and being like 'FREEEDOM YEAAAAH', momentarily delaying that sickening moment when you realise you don't really have all that much to do with this freedom anyway.

Not sure where I'm going or what the point of this was. I'm up late? To sleep or watch more Youtube videos hmmm (I'd never heard of Reply Girl before tonight, odd).

It's really late to be up, but who even cares? I've finished my exams, am on my summer holidays and have zero obligations for the forseeable future :D

So crippingly tired but I can't sleep. Why? :( And the more I can't sleep the more I think about how tired I'm gonna be tomorrow and how awful work is going to be as a result. 'Tis the most vicious of vicious cycles.

WAs just starting to cook a fry at 3 and I heard glass, So I thought "Here's another random drunk on his way up the road", Till I looked out my window and realised it was some nutcase smashing windows farther up the block, He must have done some damage as there was a lot of glass breaking. But its nothing new to that house anyway.

Darned sleep, I wonder what'd be better: a drastically shortened lifespan but you spend it feeling perfectly awake 24/7 or a lengthened one where you spend a massive portion of your life asleep anyway (i.e the status quo)?

I'm just angry I can't stay up all night and then either feel guilty for sleeping away most of the next day or exhausted from getting so little sleep...

I had the great idea of formatting all my hard drives and clean installing Windows and leaving myself a nice 20GB partition for Arch Linux for a bit of a mini project trying to get it set up and configured and designed to the bolix....

laptop then starts deciding to go to a black screen when switching on after installing windows.. remove second hard drive and laptop boots perfectly... last 4 hours have been spent trying to fix it so I can put my second hard drive back in... :(

refuse to go to sleep until I fix this though or until I jsut physically conk out...

why do I have to be a nerd :o :pac:

Sounds like you have formatting issues or bad sectors! Best thing to do is to run Linux off USB or CD so you can switch out drives and figure out what's happening.

bootloader was deciding to install to my second hard drive and the computer didn't know what the **** was going on basically :p dunno why it was installing there and how I didn't notice it... could have broken the laptop when I noticed it though... :o

all is working again now with lovely Ubuntu 10.10 dualing booting with Windows 7 but Arch linux can suck a lemon... Pacman was broken or something along those lines - it's noted issue apparently so bleh - to much work trying to import keys to to install programs... Arch is on the shelf for the next few weeks until I get bored again...

Archlinux is a bit of work alright, but persevere! I have tri-boot Arch, Windows 7 and Snow Leopard on my computer. Out of the 3, Archlinux runs the best (though you can't really judge OSX to harshly :P ).

    Pacman + Yaourt > Apt-get :D

It's late. I've spent the last few hours watching silly videos and stuff, y'know yourself... This means I'll sleep in again tomorrow and waste the whole day on nothing aaand the cycle continues! :( So okay to make up for it I'm totally not going to go on the internet all weekend!

    See you all tomorrow then.

I think it's time for bed; I'm at that extremely weird point of sleep deprivation where my mind conjures up all sorts of strange crap. Imagining a flock of birds chirping away to the melody of Elton John's Don't Go Breaking My Heart was amusing at first but it's probably more suited to the dream world.
