Do you have to pay for on-street parking in Letterkenny in the evening or is it just during shopping hours? Also, is it pay and display??

Yep, pay and display on nearly all of the main street and the streets off it. But ther is underground parking at the back of Dillions, i think its still free for the first hour and like wise in the carpark behind the Courtyard Shopping centre.

Im pretty sure the big multi story car park on Pearse Road by Elvery Sports is free all the time

As said above, most on street parking is pay and display but free in the evenings

Yea that carpark is free all the time, it extends the whole way to the back of the court house so fairly close to the main street. But it does close the gates at night and only people living in the flats above have access cards to open the gates. Think the gates might close around 8ish and then open around 7ish in the morning

Letterkenny has the cheapest car parking in the country I find! 60c to park all day near The Grill. Amazing!!! It's €2.90 an hour in Dublin! What a rip off!
