Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a dress which is hard to describe but it's somewhere between the two descriptions above.

Would black shoes be a definite 'no'?

    Would silver shimmery shoes suit?

    Suggestions needed asap. thanks.

If you have an old black or cheap pair buy some glitter spray in an art shop and give them a hint of blue or silver ive done this before

Thanks for the suggestion but it's quite an important event and I want to buy new shoes. I'm just wondering what colours will suit.

I like black and navy together. Some nice examples here. If you were to do black and navy, I'd go for black jewellery and accessories only.

Agree with the above, black and navy does work. Especially when the fabrics are quite rich suede and velvet..yum. I think gold jewelery also works with black and navy but maybe thats just me! If you're going for black shoes have a black bag or black earrings too.

Silver shoes would be grand but I wouldn't go too 'shimmery'. Perhaps you could bring in another colour shoe and incorporate it with your accessories. Depends on your own style.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with simple black court heels (classic barbie shoe basically).
They go with just about everything and would look well with navy.
If the material is metallic though, glossy shoes wouldn't look great, so maybe go with more kind of satin or polyurethane, something like this:

btw, agreed on the black only accessories

So black with the blue won't look ridiculous? That's the general opinion of all the ladies in here?

The event is getting close now and I still have no shoes :( disaster! But I may try get some tomorrow, if I can just decide on the colour that suits best!

    More opinions welcome.

I think black will look lovely with it.

I'm on the lookout for a similar sort of dress. Really want a nice midnight blue one.
