Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    if you get caught with customs duty it's mighten work out so cheap, this isn't a bad price, don't know what there like though, at least there in the UK http://www.digital-cameras.com/product.asp?ProductID=4815 , i'm after one as well...

    Might give that a go. Out of curiosity, how much might customs charge for it?

    i'd say no more than €21.50 max, depends on what the value it at, i'm always dubious about stuff from china, my genuine phone charger blew up the other day, it exploded on the wall like a grenade, and that was from china..

    tis cheap(ish) if it's ok, and if you dont have to send it back!! compared to eu sites adding in duty, your saving about €10/15 or so..;

    I wouldn't buy from this guy. His ebay feedback isn't great...

    http://feedback.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=unionecom&iid=-1&de=off&items=25&which=negative&interval=180

    and like some thers have commented, it would be expensive to return the item if there was a problem. The saving you would make wouldn't be worth the risk and the hassle. You might pick up a secondhand 50mm in buy and sell, gumtree or adverts.ie. They are about €130 to buy new in Irish camera shops. I have one of these lenses and they're fab! :)

    would be very weary about buying this from Hong Kong got stuff before and they turned out to be poor replicas... I ordered one of these new from Amazon the other day and it came to €111.00 not a great saving but if anything is wrong I dont have to ship it half way around the world.

    I ended up going for this. They sent it by post so I didnt get charged anything and it was brand new. http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310181274423

    Guys,

    http://www.digital-cameras.com and photobox.co.uk are the same outfit. Do a bit of homework, search this forum.

    I got mine off ebay, 50e + 25ish posting from China - absolutely perfecto!

    Never take it off the dslr and it fits my 300v! Go for it!

    Course Ive now broken it about 4 times straight in half. But it may be a little rich to blame the seller when I keep kicking it off the couch.

    This has been typo'ed a couple of times here, PHOTObox.co.uk is an online printing service (and a good one at that !) and has nothing to do with digital-cameras.com or whatever the other site is that you're talking about (was it fotobox.co.uk or something ? I remember seeing it mentioned )
