How long do you have to keep cattle after you buy them before you can resell them or send them to the factory?

As far as I know, unless you are 'locked up' with Brucellosis or TB you can sell straight away to the factory.

    TB
If you want to sell in a mart or direct to a farmer, they have to be in test for TB, that is with in 12 months from the last test, assuming of course that you are not 'locked up' with TB. The last farmers test is valid.

    Brucellosis
For Brucellosis, the rules have changed slightly.
    Here they are

Basically you can't sell on in the mart without retesting, but can to the factory.

Not a great time to be distress selling any agri product -beef,milk or pork-with the current factory prices on the floor
    Is he fit to kill
Usually cattle settle down in their new environment if conditions are appropriate
Cattle losing between €130/€150 per head plus costs in the last 2 months and thats before mart fees ,dosing and haulage
    Careful
