Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Damaged rear door and underside - please help! - need repairs advice

I was exiting from multi-storey car park today and damaged my rear door and section underneath is now all scraped and dented. Basically don't have the car very long and not used to awkward maneuvering so ended up getting wedged on a high kerb trying to get out. I want to get it fixed asap so it doesn't start to rust - plus it looks crap (I'm looking for someone either in south Dublin where I live, or in Trim where I work). Anyone have any recommendations of ppl - should I be contacting crash repair / panel beaters or going to garage service / repair departments for something like this?

Also, anyone any idea of how much it would cost - seeing as this is my first insurance policy should I go through insurance company or pay myself????

Id get a quote first from a few places before going through the insurance straight away, as its your first policy you may not be driving as long and be paying a high enough premiume.

Your Policies excess may be higher then the actual cost of the repairs and if so then you are better to just cover it yourself in my opinion.
