Just thinking of getting a sniper scope from a supplier in the north posted down and was wondering if anyone has had any issues with scopes being detained or seized recently?

Some people have had Eotechs seized by Customs recently, haven't heard of a regular scope get stopped, should be ok anyway though if it's coming from the north.

Real steel scopes or other component parts of firearms are subject to license or otherwise restricted. You have to prove it's for Airsoft.

Never heard of a "sniper scope" but anything optics wise is
perfectly legal to import under Irish Law ...............unless you buy a telescopic scope
that has integrated Night vision then it becomes restricted.

My scope got held last week, but it was coming from HK and customs just wanted they're bit on the side. You shouldn't have any problems if your getting it from up north though.
