Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Proper football resumes 1st week of March 2010. The foreign game resumes tomorrow. I thought that was a proper game of Soccer the other night if i'm not mistaken, very damn proud of it to.

And here we have a prime example of the sort of whining that has the forum the way it is.

It's a thread title. Get over it FFS and don't open the thread.

Anyway Liverpool to win, and the other 9 games will hopefully goal and red card fests.

Think Everton might sneak a draw at United, haven't won there since the 1st prem year...(in front of a crowd of 30 odd thousand for the statisticians). Yakubu and Saha are not to be sniffed at.

Pretty hard games to call in fairness, wouldn't go near the wigan game....

    saha's injured.

i'd love you to make it a game against them, but without saha i really can't see where the goals are coming from.

yakubu is playing like a half-assed donkey.

Everton are shafted with injuries. Just took Saha out of my fantasy football team. He's only doubtful, but knowing saha, he'll be out.

he better be, i sacrificed points to get him out.

    anyway, sorry, off topic.

i don't see everton having enough this time. without the injuries, it would be a different story.

    Birmingham v Fulham, 15:00

Referee Chris Roy has done 9 matches this season and handed out 29 yellow cards - pretty average - the staggering statistic is that 25 of those yellow cards have come in the second half of matches.

Fulham have been awarded 3 penalties away from home this season in the Premier League, and duly netted all 3.

Foy has awarded 3 penalties in his 9 matches.

Foy clearly stamps his authority on the match in the second-half, it's optimistic but this bet is worth a small punt..

Penalty to be scored in the second-half 6/1 (Paddy Power)

Liverpool have scored 27 goals in the Premier League this season, notably 19 of those goals came at Anfield. 11 of their total goals were scored in the first-half with the remaining 16 in the second-half.

Only 4 of those total goals have come the way of a set-piece (2 of them penalties)

Man City have scored 21 goals this term in the Premier League, 8 of them coming on their travels.

Liverpool have conceded 6 goals at home.

Man City have conceded 6 away from home and 8 at home. Only 1 of their total 14 goals they have conceded have come the way of a corner. Liverpool have only managed to score twice from a corner in the Premier League this term from 27 goals.

Liverpool have scored 18 goals from open play while Man City have conceded 9 goals from open play.

From a personal point of view I think the final score will be somewhere in the region of

    Liverpool 3 Man City 1 14/1 (boylesports)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,242 ✭✭✭In_tuition

    Sunderland v Arsenal

Sunderland have scored 9 goals in the 1st half this season - 5 of them in the opening 15 mins. Of the 36 Arsenal have scored, astonishingly none of them have come in the opening 15 minutes.

Of Arsenal's 14 goals conceded in the Premier League, 10 of them have come away from home.

Given the stats a decent bet could be Arsenal to come from behind and draw or win 7/2 (William Hill)

    hmmm

Yakubu is playing like a half assed donkey, but he is recovering from a serious injury you recall?

Scoring for the super eagles will have done him the world of good.

give him a sniff around the box and bye bye...:)

and where did you hear saha is out...

cahill might be out which is a big worry.

Apologies for the thread title. While I do generally enjoy watching premier league football more than internationals and the LOI, the title was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.

No, Zhirkov nearly scored. He ran from his own half, got past about 5 players and only for a good save from the keeper it would have been a peach.

I think Carlton Cole has got that one as an o.g.

It took a deflection off Parker, then Cole from the Bullard free kick.

I was going for 7-0 to Chelsea earlier too, they are not getting as much space as early on though, Wolves are closing up.
