Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Help - Water Treatment System Blockage ??

We are just in the house over a year, we have not had the system desludged yet.

Since yesterday all the toilets are slow to empty when flushed like the pipes are blocked. This effects all 4 toilets but two are the ensuites and not used as much.

There is a lot of flooding in the area, could water be backing up in the system preventing an outflow ??

Just checked the shore at the back of the house, so blockage is between it and the water treatment system

If you are using a percolstion area after the treatment system it is most likely fully saturated because of the rains/floods. It is likely that as a result the treatment system is very slow to empty itself.

I have a feeling you have no choice but to reduce your use of the treatment system as much as possible, wait for the waters to receed and for your treatment system to catch up.

Reduce your usage of baths (showers instead), washing machine, dishwasher, reduce toilet flushes as much as possible.

Call the manufacturers and explain the situation to them, see what advice they give you.

can you open the unit and verify there is a blockage?
is it backed up to the manhole?

I had a backup last year and found there was a blockage just on the inlet to the septic tank.
couple of mins with rods and wooosh free flowing again.

    Thanks for your replies.

That was exactly it, we got the tank emptied but it was only half full so had to rod it from the manhole and blockage was just at inlet to tank so problem solved.
