My 9 wk old unvacinated puppy is goin mad to meet my ma's kitten, same age also unvacinated.
Does anybody know if it's safe for them to meet,ie dogs can't meet other dogs unless they're vacinated, does it work the same for dog-kitten?

Should be fine as long as both animals have no access to unvaccinated dogs or cats. Just ensure they are both on a good worming regime. It's great that they are being introduced now so that any time you want to pop over with your dog there's not going to be a big battle and the kitten will leg it. Getting them used to each other now will be great in the long run.

At 9 weeks though each animal needs to have had started vaccinations and have had their first one, if not done already both should be booked in for their 1st vax.

thanks, the pup was actually done at seven weeks but the vet said it was too early for it to take effect so he said to return when he's 10 wks.
Yeah hope they can be friends,3 brief meetings so far,pup approaches clumsily and gets reprimanded by kitten, they like each other though.

Pups need two sets of vaccinations for it to take effect, so do kittens. As long as the pup and kitten have not had any contact with any other animals, it will be fine for them to meet. If the kitten roams outside, then it is not safe for the pup to meet it until 10 days after the pup has had it's 2nd vaccinations.
