Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What happened to all the photos?

Were they given to him in an album to show to his family and friends?

Were any published in the media?

What was the point of it all?

Anytime a senior politician attends an event he/she is invariably accompanied by various professional snappers shooting away as if the politician was some kind of rare bird making an unexpected visit to these shores.

    Why?

At best, one or two shots of their unlovely visages will end up in a local or national paper.

I suspect it's all about massaging their massive egos and has nothing to do with any possible publication. Standing behind a podium giving a speech - or attending a St Patrick's Day event or whatever - while photographers are furiously snapping probably confirms them in their belief that they are VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE.

    Pass the sick-bag, Alice.

Well it was probably only €20 for the day, including one framed 6x4, but then he made the mistake of going into the studio with his wife to see a slideshow of the rest of the shots ... they provide tea and biscuits ... and before you know it the irish taxpayer is down another €575. Goddamn dutch photographers with their hard sell tactics !

"tea and biscuits" are serious business.

The Hague is a tough shoot for the right angles. Too many OAP's bobbling into shot.

It was only €595 for a photographer for the day? Just as well he didn't say it was for a civil marriage, he'd have been charged €3500 for the same work!

Oops! Might have been bad comparison. Let the beating from all the wedding photographers commence... :D
