    (*ROADS*) [22nd November 09]

    *LEITRIM* Major delays of at least 90mins through Carrick-on-Shannon from the Sligo side. From Sligo to Dublin you can take the N61 to Roscommon and onto Athlone. • In Carrick-On-Shannon, the N4 is open with a minor diversion at MBNA. Park Lane, Quay St & the Leitrim Rd (R280) are closed. • Leitrim Village remains impassable.

    *GALWAY* • The Ferry Bridge on the N65 in Portumna is closed, divert to Banagher (R356), Birr (R439) and Borrisokane on the N52. • A number of road closures are in place in Athenry–avoid. • N17 Galway/Tuam Rd is closed at Claregalway. 1hr delay via N84/Headford Rd. • N18 Ennis/Galway Rd is flooded, diversions at Crowe St, Gort and Labane. Allow an extra hour for journey. The N18 is down to one lane north of Gort at Kiltartan. • Galway/Monivea Rd (R339) is flooded from Carnmore Cross to Cashla; divert via Athenry.• Drivers on the Dublin/Galway Rd can use the N6 from Dublin to Ballinasloe and then temporarily use the unfinished M6 to bypass Ballinasloe & Craughwell. Single lane traffic is in place and a strict speed limit of 50kmph applies. 40 min delays getting onto M6 at Ballinasloe. • IMPORTANT: Motorists can only get onto the M6 for Craughwell at Galway Clinic, Doughiska & can only get off at Loughrea. Those who try to get onto the M6 at Ornamore or Craughwell will be turned back. Signage indicating this has blown away.

    *COUNTY CORK* • Park Rd in Mallow is closed. • Approx 2km north of Mallow off the N20, the Hospital Cross Rd to Lisgriffin Rd is impassable. • The Inniscarra Bridge is impassable on the Inniscarra Rd (R618). • Only way to Blarney from Ballincollig is via JLT or Coachford, the Coolatanavalley (R579) and Woodside Rds (R579) are impassable.

    *CORK CITY* • Carrigrohane Straight Rd and Lee Rd are closed. A one-way system is in place northbound from Wellington Bridge to Shanakiel. Southbound, divert onto North Mall. • Lee Mount Cross is closed from the Anglers Rest Pub possibly until Tues.

    *WATERFORD CITY* • The Tramore Road and the Old Tramore Rd remain closed. • The Superquinn R/A is only accessible from the Waterford side.

    *CAVAN* • The N3 Butlers Bridge/Belturbert Rd is closed. Divert via the N54 to Gannons Cross and onto the Belturbet Rd (R197).

    *ROSCOMMON* • The N63 Roscommon/Galway Rd is closed at Athleague. • Serious flooding on the N5 between Tulsk and Frenchpark. • Ballyforan Village is impassable.

    *CARLOW* • Kennedy St, Castle Hill, Crossneen Rd, Centaur St & Marlborough St remain closed. • The Athy/Carlow Rd (R417) is closed at Three Counties. • Local access only at Leighlinbridge.

    *TIPPERARY* • In Clonmel, Convent Bridge, Coleville Rd and the Quays remain closed. A stop/go system is in place on Davis Rd. • In North Tipperary, the N65 Portumna/Borrisokane Rd is impassable at Carrigahorig. Divert via Birr, Offaly. • The Borrisokane/Athlone Rd (R438) is closed at Rathcabban due to flooding.

    *LONGFORD* • The N5 Longford/Strokestown Rd is still closed at Tarmonbarry and in Longford town at the Stokestown Rd jct with Willow Park; divert via Newtownforbes. • The N63 Longford/Lanesborough Rd is closed at the railway bridge in Longford. Diversions are in place.

    *CLARE* • In Ennis, the Gort Rd remains closed to traffic and access to Abbey St is via Francis St only. Newbridge Rd also closed. • A number of minor roads are also affected.

    *LAOIS* • Following recent heavy rainfall, there is surface water on many roads around Portlaoise. • Stradbally is also badly affected, particularly on minor routes.

    (*BUS*)

    GALWAY ROUTE: Bus transfers are operating again between Galway and Athlone on Galway/Dublin services due to flooding between Ballinasloe and Athlone.

    SLIGO ROUTE: Bus transfers are operating from Longford to Carrick-on-Shannon due to flooding

    LIMERICK TO ENNIS: Bus transfers are in operation due to flooding. All other routes are operating normally. Full service information is available at www.irishrail.ie or 1850 366 222.*

    (*RAIL*)

    To facilitate maintenance works between Connolly and Bray the following alterations to the Connolly/Rosslare route will apply each week up to Friday, 27th November 2009:
    Mondays: • 19.23 Gorey to Connolly service is cancelled • 20.05 Enniscorthy to Connolly service is substituted by buses. Tuesdays to Thursdays: • 05.44 Arklow to Rosslare Europort service is substituted by buses. • 19.23 Gorey to Connolly service is cancelled. • 20.05 Enniscorthy to Connolly service is substituted by buses. Fridays: • 05.44 Arklow to Rosslare Europort service is substituted by buses.



    (*FERRIES*)


    STENA LINE: * Due to adverse weather conditions the 13:30hrs departure from Dun Laoghaire today (Sun 22nd) is cancelled. All booked passengers and vehicles can be accomodated on alternative sailings from Dublin port. * Due to adverse weather conditions, all sailings from Rosslare harbour have been cancelled today (Sun 22nd). The next scheduled departure is on Mon 23rd Nov at 09:00hrs. * Contact Stena Line for further details. • Passengers requiring further information on sailings are advised to contact Ferrycheck on 00353 01 2047799. •

    IRISH FERRIES: The following Irish Ferries services are cancelled due to the bad weather conditions: * The Cruise Ferry, Rosslare to Cherbourg departing at 18:00 today (Sun 22nd) is cancelled. * The Jonathan Swift fast ferry Sunday sailings have also been cancelled. All passengers should be accommodated on the cruise ferry M.V.
