    Any advise would be great..

9-1 good but could have done with a 17-1 to over haul the gooners...who says we yids are never happy

Ah yes, went to Blackburn away in 1998. Spurs struggling at the bottom of the table, Blackburn 2nd and looking good. Got slagged by United/Liverpool/Coventry fans on the ferry over. Then Spurs won 3-0 (Berti/Armstrong/Fox) and we had a great time on the way back!
Better to minimise your time spent in Blackburn though, it ain't pretty...

Anyhow, we had absolutely no problems getting from Hollyhead-Blackburn on the Saturday morning, and back to Hollyhead that night to watch MOTD in a pub before getting the ferry home, so you'll have no problem from Manchester.

Check http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/, it says about 1hr 20 mins from Manchester Airport to Blackburn, with 1 change on the way.

I'd planned on doing this myself but have to blow it out due to work commitments.

This site will give you info on how to get to/from Ewood:

Detailed instructions on what station to get the train to:

There are trains to/from Manchester to Blackburn. If travelling from the airport the likelihood is you will have to change at either Salford Crescent or Bolton. The stop before Blackburn on this line is Darwen where there is a wonderful real ale pub (Black Horse).

Plenty of pubs around Blackburn station including a rather spacious Wetherspoons. 25 minute stroll from there to ground (down hill). Give youreself plenty of time to get back to the station post match as the Manchester trains are only hourly if I recall correctly.

    Enjoy

    Hi multipack,

This forum is for Spurs fans (the hint is the name ;)), you might get a better response over on the Soccer Tickets & Travel forum.

Failing that you might get some info on the site I linked to in my previous post:
