Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a timberframe wall structure that has a high standard of insulation, uses basic builders merchants materials and doesnt have any risk of condensation?

My roofer has been asked to build a timberframe house and is looking at the condensation risk/ airtightness/ insulation levels and cost, with cost being an important factor.

    I am thinking of:

    dense block wall
    50mm air gap
    xxxxx???? sheathing
225mm timberframe at 600 centres pumped with cellulose (or filled with rockwool flexi)
    intelligent membrane
    50mm insulated service void
    12.5mm plasterboard

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Steve
