    Hey Blacknight.

I am trying to install a script which requires PHP 5.1 but the version I am on is 4.4.9.

I rang CS and they said I would have to purchase another hosting package to have PHP 5.

Is there any chance of getting my PHP version updated?
I don't really want to have to buy a second hosting package.

    Thanks.

If you're on one of the old shared hosting servers we can't upgrade PHP

If you're on one of the new servers you can usually choose between versions

And is the only way of getting on one of the new servers by purchasing a second hosting package?

If you're on one of the older servers you'd have to migrate off it at some point anyway

If you can email management@blacknight.com your details I can probably arrange a special credit / discount to ease the "pain" :)

In any case, with the new hosting plans you get a LOT more

    - more bandwidth
    - more disk space
    and loads of more features

They should have emailed you (accounts team)

In any case they've sorted something out for you ...
