Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cows & Calves at foot -current values??

    Trying to sell some excess stock before housing. A neighbour is interested but as I rarely go to marts & I'm looking for some guidance on value.

    3 cows freshly calved as follows:


    Freisen Cow ( b2000) & Freisen Bull calf
    CHX Cow (b2001) & LMX Bull Calf
    LMX Cow (b2001) & LMX Heifer Calf

    To be fair, they're "experienced" cows but in good order.

    I'd appreciate any guidance on current market value

    what age the calves+ are cow incalf again?

    Freisen Cow ( b2000) & Freisen Bull calf €500-700
    CHX Cow (b2001) & LMX Bull Calf €650-850
    LMX Cow (b2001) & LMX Heifer Calf €600-800

    so maybe €1750 to 2350 for the whole lot??? no
    my opinion, from what u say about them..
    hard to price without seeing them in person!

    am i--away of the mark???

    I'm in Galway, I sold a 2nd calf Lm with with an LMX bull calf last spring for €1250 but it's not a like for like comparison

    true..cow was way younger+in my opinion a better time of year-to sell a suckler cow! springtime!!
