Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Part of Shannon Banks seriously flooded. Army, Guards and Council knocking about down there. Im in Westbury and the roads have heavy surface water but nothing too bad (yet)

Was driving around having a nose at about 2am and bumped into FF Cllr Cathal Crowe who stopped me in the car and asked how we were doing and said Westbury should be ok for the night.

Received this Email today responding to my query why the Global Flood Detection System website had no current data on Ireland:

    Dear Jim,

Unfortunately, due to limitations in mandate, GDACS doesn’t cover floods in Europe. We have another group working on floods in Europe (http://efas.jrc.ec.europa.eu/), but their data and alerts are restricted to water authorities. Please contact jutta.thielen@jrc.ec.europa.eu for more information on EFAS.

    Best regards,

    Tom De Groeve
