We have always had a pet dog in the house and now finally got a hunting dog. She is working great don't know how i managed without her! Any way at the min i feed both dogs burns but it is very expensive. The lad in the pet shop recommended a dog food called ''Hounda'' . The working type has a protein level of 24%. Has anyone ever used this? Much better price than burns. Any other recommendations?

if they are doing ok on the burns id keep them on it , I order my dog food from this site
    http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/dogs/dry_dog_food/burns

its a good bit cheaper and free delivery for orders over £29 , they have an offer on the burns at the moment , you might get more answers in the pet forum

Ive never been keen on Burns only because many of my dogs and family's dogs who have been on it have lost a lot of weight and many couldnt put weight on with it, Of course it maybe ok with you but your right by gosh its expensive!
My cavaliers and yorkshire terrier cross I know are a lot smaller then yours but mine are on arden grange http://www.ardengrange.com/ Its the closest I have found to James Well Beloved and foods of that standard and my dogs are doing fab on it! I pay £30 for 15kg which I didnt think was too bad? Just thought Id mention it so you could take a look, its a nightmare finding good foods I think in the UK good luck and hope you find something xxx
